The CHR 1 Determinator is designed to work on the Chrysler 7 cut lock systems. Chrylser started using this system in 1989 and used it until it went to the 8 cut system in 1996 ½. There are 2 keys in the Determinator set. One is used for the Y154 keyway and one is used for the Y157 keyway.

Number of Depths: 4 Number of spaces: 7 Door spaces: 1989 to 1992 door had 1 to 5. 1993 to 1996 door had 3 to 7 Ignition spaces: 1 to 7 Use key blanks: 1989 to 1992 use Y154 1993 use Y153 1994 to 1996 use the Y157 Determinator traps depths of 3 and 4 and passes the 1 and 2 depths. Do not use in the ignition lock. Uses the REGULAR RELEASE TOOL. Modified release will work.
